The working principle of a ceramic filter machine

  A ceramic filter is a filtration and dewatering device that utilizes vacuum and capillary effects. In production operations, ceramic filters offer numerous advantages. The main filtration principle is as follows:

  a. Suction Zone: During operation, the filter plates immersed in sulfur foam, combined with capillary action and vacuum pressure, adsorb a layer of sulfur paste onto their surface to form a filter cake. The filtrate passes through the filter plate and enters the distribution valve to the discharge tank.

  b. Drying Zone: After the sulfur paste filter cake is transferred to the discharge trough, it continues to be dewatered under high vacuum.

  c. Discharge Zone: In the absence of vacuum, the scraper automatically discharges the filter cake.

  Backwashing: Soft water or filtrate enters the ceramic plate through the distribution valve to clean it from the inside out, removing clogged micropores. After one cycle of use, the ceramic plates are cleaned using ultrasonic cleaning combined with a low-concentration alkali mixture to maintain their high efficiency.
