A disc filter mainly consists of left and right distribution heads, a tank, a central shaft, sector plates, a worm gear, bearing housings, a worm gear box, a reducer, a coupling, and a scraper. Disc vacuum filters are available in two types: standard and microporous ceramic.
The standard disc vacuum filter typically consists of a flat disc composed of 8-12 sector-shaped filter blades, with both sides serving as the filtration surface.
Each filter blade is a flat, hollow, sector-shaped component, which can be made of materials such as iron plate, plastic, or aluminum alloy. It has small holes on both sides, with a filtrate hole at the smaller end communicating with a filtrate channel on the horizontal shaft. The filter blade is covered with filter cloth. The filter blade is fixed to the horizontal shaft with bolts and pressure plates, thus forming the filter disc.
The horizontal shaft of the disc filter has several filtrate channels leading to the distribution head. The number of channels is equal to the number of filter blades on a single filter disc. One end of the horizontal shaft is connected to the transmission mechanism, and the other end mates with the distribution head.
