As a sludge dewatering device, a belt dewatering machine is generally composed of a filter belt, press rollers, belt tensioning system, belt alignment system, belt washing system, and belt drive system.
When selecting a belt dewatering machine, the following factors should be considered:
Filter Belt: The belt should have high tensile strength, flexibility, resistance to acids and alkalis, and temperature stability. The specific properties of the sludge must also be considered to select a suitable weave pattern, ensuring good air permeability and effective particle retention.
Roller Alignment System: Typically completed using a pneumatic device to maintain proper belt alignment.
Belt Tensioning System: Usually controlled by a pneumatic system. Belt tension is generally maintained between 0.3–0.7 MPa, with a common value of 0.5 MPa.
Belt Speed Control: Different types of sludge require different belt speeds. For any specific sludge, there is an optimal belt speed range that ensures both sufficient processing capacity and high-quality sludge cake.
